When I'm in the Zone BBS - my screen reader *&$% up!!

My screen reader either reads EVERYTHING - ALL the time OR misses out chunks of stuff !! Think it may be the Quicknotes confusing it - but I'm NOT sure... sigh!! Any ideas - how I can fix this ??
